Amanda's sets change people. They feel like they are flying, and love moves through their bodies in waves. She plays with time like an alchemist, stretching it, deconstructing it, rebuilding until the floor becomes somewhere else entirely. Particularly known for her closing sets and all-nighters, she understands how a night breathes, how to read the arc of hours and bring a crowd to exactly where they need to land. Shaped by the mechanical soul of Detroit and the fractured textures of UK sounds, her music translates into deep, driving, dubby and hypnotic techno, extending into sassy, rolling house. The way she assembles a set carries that same instinct as sampling culture, lifting, layering, recontextualising until something new and unrepeatable takes shape, but still keeping the unrelenting continuous groove as the lead of her ceremonial sounds.
What you hear is a language built from tribalistic percussion, layered vocals, and soundscapes that move between the earthly and the galactic, cinematic in texture, like transmissions arriving from just beyond the visible. She moves between ethereal stillness and raw kinetic force, between grounding and flight, holding space for both surrender and elevation.
Over the years she has run a record label, a booking agency, and her own party, building scenes, not just playing them. That history of community-making lives on in how she moves through the world: collaborating deeply with artists wherever she plays, never a passing presence, always part of the connective tissue. Today that same energy goes into mentoring emerging talent, bringing together technical rigour and a holistic, intuitive approach to the craft.
Berlin-based and South American at her roots, Mussi built her career across her home countries Brazil and Paraguay before planting herself at the heart of the global electronic music world. She has been performing on Berghain's main floor for years, and has carried her practice further across São Paulo, Asunción, Amsterdam, and New York, continuing to tour widely across Europe and into Asia.
