Originally from Barcelona, LAIA began her career in the city’s underground spots,discovering and immersing herself in club music culture. It didn’t take long before she realised that vinyl, digging, and commanding the dancefloor from the booth were what she truly wanted for herself.
There’s beauty in diversity, and when we talk about Laia, we’re talking about a DJ who navigates several points along the musical spectrum. Her sound can lean into techno with flashes of Detroit, touching on Birmingham influences, or slow down to much lower BPMs where she explores and develops her passion for house and minimal.
2025 marks the beginning of a new chapter: production. Her debut track Within Reach, released on Silencio Records as part of SL002 — a special charity compilation supporting breast cancer awareness — reflects her commitment not only to sound but also to meaningful projects. The release features eight female artists and donates all net proceeds to Europa Donna, the European coalition against breast cancer. With her next release scheduled for early 2026, Laia continues to evolve and refine her artistic identity.
